I went to a fun party for a 40 yr old that would probably work for this. Guests were instructed to come dressed in their favorite decade. Had everyone from flappers to sock hoppers to hippies. The event was held at a local community centre that had a lounge well equipped with darts and pool tables. Dj was hired to play "oldies but goodies" and at the end of the night everyone rec'd loot bags filled with retro candy that the host had found online. I know that a decade party may sound somewhat simple/boring but it really was a lot of fun. Dressing up was a blast and we all had a good laugh over eachother's outfits.
