My boyfriend and I have be going out for over a year now and he recently brought me a promise ring. I was wearing it on my left ring finger, but a girl at work said "I thought you were supposed to wear promise rings on your right ring finger." Now I'm all confused as to which finger you wear it on. I mean I thought since your engagement ring goes on your left ring finger a promise ring does to, because a promise ring is a pre-engagement.
My boyfriend gave me a promise ring over a year ago and i wear it on my left hand because it is similar to an engagement ring..i think that the promise ring is there until you are old enough to be engaged. =)
My Boyfriend and I have been together a little over 4 years.I have recieved a promise ring from him which I wear on my right hand. I feel that the proposal of a engagement ring is special and should be the first ring worn on the left hand. Thats just what I think though...everyone has their opinion.
