Wow! For all you people looking to buy a mobile espresso truck or trailer, just look at all the people that are selling theirs! That should tell you something. They thought they were going to get rich while not having to work very hard! I've been doing it for 8 years and I'm still in business AND I DON'T WANT TO SELL MY TRUCK! Be careful, be very careful if you are thinking of buying a mobile espresso/smoothie truck or trailer. Good luck!
Wow Jason, you know everything...but why people are selling their trucks. People, beware of know it alls...find someone who is working their truck and who is willing to help you be successful by telling about their mistakes yet also sharing the success story.
Didn't mean to step on your toes Vicki. It's a shame though, that so many people want to get into the mobile espresso truck business and end up losing their investment because the people that sold them the truck lied about how much business they could do. And by the way, when it comes to mobile espresso/smoothie trucks, I DO KNOW IT ALL. Sorry you got so testy. Interesting reaction from someone in the same business considering I was telling the truth..
And by the way Vicki, I have spent countless hours on the phone over the years with many mobile espresso operators in my state as well as other states, sharing what help I could. I've talked to people who are thinking of buying and what they should or should not do, as well as people that want to sell their vehicle. I for one, feel we need more mobile espresso/smoothie trucks and trailers out there! It's frustrating and it hurts all of us when we learn that one of our own goes out of business.
I am doing a study on Coffee vans and trucks for one of my university papers and I am trying to find out how much one would cost. Preferably a truck that is a walk-in. Pictures would help as well but are not necessary.
Can anybody help me??? Anybody know a website where I may be able to find the price???/
Hi Rachel,
Are you looking for a mobile truck that mainly serves espresso drinks, or are you looking for a truck that also sells food like a "roach coach" or a lunch truck?
I would think that homemade used walk-in trucks and trailers would range from a few thousand dollars on up. The Original Seattle Coffee Company has some pictures on their website of their walk-in units. They build both trailers as well as trucks. I don't know the price of the trailers, however the new truck units are quite expensive at around $85-$90,000.00 I'm sure there are other builders of walk-in espresso trucks and trailers out there but I'm not aware of them. They do pop up on ebay quite often. Good luck on your search.
