Okay just to get straight to it, I'm going with my boyfriend to his prom and he wants to wear LIME GREEN!!!! YUCK I mean I can't tell him NOT to wear it for the fact it is HIS prom. I found this gorgous gold dress but yet lime green and gold....lets see....doesn't mesh well. I found this really nice suite that is white with gold tie and gold vest, and he thinks it is "boring." I went to the mall with his mom yesterday and she loved the gold dress to but she is the glittery, sequen dresses that I'm in to form fitting dresses but yet she said I could dress up my dress some with sewing some stuff that I can't remember but I don't know what to do the fact my boy friend said he doesn't want to wear gold but i think it would look really nice. I've tried looking for Lime green but then I thought about it if he wears a full on lime green suit I can't wear a lime green dress because 9 out of 10 the greens are going to be different. I think this gold thing will work but then last night he was talking about Baby Blue, now that is something I think I could SORTA work with but I don't know. His mom wants us to wear black and white but that is so boring and what a lot of others will wear. Now i now I sound like I don't want to stand out by not wearing green but I do just not with that color, so I don't know what to do really. PLEASE help me out!
You two sound like a fun couple! I don't blame you for not wanting to wear lime green. Gold and green somewhat go together....think of St. Patricks day....and maybe mention that you two would look like you're in a St. Patrick's Day parade so other colors may work a bit better. Have you thought of silver with the green? Good luck!
