I am trying to think of ways that my bridesmaids can wear dresses that they all love and can wear again on another formal occasion. I went to a wedding recently where every bridesmaid wore black, knee-lengthed dresses that were all different. They weren't your tipical bridesmaid dresses, they were all cute party dresses that they would wear again on other occasions. They all wore champagne colored shawls that brought them all together. I really like this idea. I would like to plan something similar. Please reply if you have any other ideas or have been to a similar wedding.
What I did (b/f we changed from big wedding to small) was get a Davids Bridal Book (even though I hate the place), and a lot of other books w/ B.M. Dresses in it and changed the dresses. For ex. If I liked the back of one dress but hated the front I would use the back and find a dress that I loved the front and have someone I knew to make the dresses for me. If you're in the ATL. I could recommend a lady who sews dresses in one day. I know, b/c she did my friends prom dress in 2000. Good Luck!
