I really need some ideas for decor. We are doing a cooking theme, and the centerpiece is done, but I really would love some creative thoughts. I know about streamers and balloons, confetti and banners.... There has to be more out there. HELP PLEASE! Thanks too!
We had a Kitchen themed shower for my niece and some of these ideas could also be used for a cooking themed shower, I think. In the invitations we placed blank recipe cards and asked everyone to write out there favorite recipe and bring it with them to the shower. Then both Moms wrote out all their favorite family recipes, we then placed them all together in a recipe file for the new bride. My sister made a centerpiece "cake" out of kitchen towels, dish cloths and small cooking utensils.....just like the diaper cakes
You always see at baby showers. VERY CUTE! I bought a big basket and filled it with all kinds of "dry goods" from flour and sugar to all your spices, teas, coffee, flavored vinegars, cooking sherry etc, etc, etc...you get the idea.
The favors were heart shaped cookie cutters with the couple's name and date printed on a card attached saying....Cookie-ing up a lifetime of sweetness for our favorite couple. Hope some of our ideas help you! Good Luck planning. Let us know what you decide to do.
