I went to David's Bridal in N.Attlebor, MA and have encountered many problems.
First, I had a woman who spoke in a loud voice about switching my mothers dress size, a larger than avg. Size, she didn't want publicized. She also followed us around and drained our own conversations.
When I went to Davids Bridal the first time, with half of my bridal party, we picked out a dress and felt that if we didn't buy it then we would miss out on discounts. We felt pressured to buy, even though we were just looking. My wedding was 6 months later but they insisted that this was the time to get the dresses. I went a few weeks later with my other brides maid to get the dress, but I didn't know which dress it was. The store didn't even have it on record, though they had the other dress for the maid of honor on record. So we picked the dress that I thought it was in the color wine that that I chose before. I was understood that we would come a month or so before the wedding for any alterations.
That was last week. Toni's dress was different, and the wine color was different because it was a different material. One bridesmaid, my neice just turned 13 and as a quickly developing teenager, the chest was too tight. When we asked about exchanging a size up we were not allowed to because the dress had been discontinued and also it had been past 90 days of the sale and according to David's Bridal, even exchanges are not allowed after 90 days. My other bridesmaid had a baby and was also under the impression she could exchange her dress, NOPE! She has to also buy a new one. Should I even tell you my sister gained weight and she had to buy 2 dresses also because it's been over 90 days!!!
When I spoke to sales people, and the person in charge of Customer Service I was told that it's not David's Bridal's responsibility if someone gains weight, has a baby or matures as a 13 yo does. They told me that dresses discontinue when it's not selling because it's not a popular style, leaving me and my friend to think that we have bat taste.
My tip to to: 1. Don't go to David's Bridal. 2. Check all policies before purchasing a dress and 3. Don't follow the rules of choosing and buying a dress 6 months before as the bridal stores suggest. Don't let them scam you and take all your hard earned money!!!
