I would try to get sponsors. Here is the information that I just gave to another Poster:
First, you need to write down at least 5 each
Bakeries
DJ's
Caterer's
Florists
Decorators
And after you write down 5 of each, get a form letter together informing them of exactly what you need help with. For instance, My name is Mika and I am getting married on July 1, 2006. I am writing for your help with the following: fill in what you would like to have from each (making it specific to what they do). Inform them that you are inviting 100 (or however many that you are inviting) and that it would make for good business for them if they sponsored your wedding. Have programs printed up and make sure that you put each and every business in that program. Do not tell your family that you are getting this stuff for free because the business will need to make that money back. However, it is a good tax write off and many of them have a certain amount donations that they do per year. You will need to explain your situation as to why you need the reception to be sponsored and it can't be just, I can't afford a wedding because truth be told, a lot of people can't and they just have what they can afford. You will get a lot of turn downs, but then work on the next list of 5. Keep going until you get a yes. Pray over your letters and send them out. Prayer works even when you think it is not coming as fast as you like it.
