I have a wedding dress that is beautiful but i am concerned as to how to set the bustle. My fitting is in two weeks and I still don't know how i want the bustle. My problem is that the lower back and but of the dress are highly detailed with beads and pearls as is the bottom of the train... How do i put in a fancy looking bustle without covering up the beautiful details?
Your seamstress should know all the various ways to do a bustle, but with detail on the train, I would recommend a 5 button bustle where it buttons up around the waist....rather than the French bustle, where the train is folded over itself and hooked from underneath. If you pull the train up to the waist, all the detailed beading on the train will be what is showing down the back of your skirt, with the waist bustle effect.
