RE: JD Invites. We haven't gotten too far with this idea but this what we are thinking (this is for my daughter and her fiance). We are going to have a picture made with the two of them with a JD tractor (his dream tractor) at the local JD dealer. Then a local photographer we know says she can put a corn field with barn as the background. They are going to use that pic as their engagement announcement for the newspaper. Then we are going to use that same pic, faded down, as the background for the invitation. Everyone says it will work but haven't seen it yet. What do you think?

Our weddign was 06/07/08, JD themed, we ended up focusing on the colors of JD, we got 60 cupcakes, 30 yellow iced, and 30 green, Sams Club, then a styrofoam cupcake tower to put them on, and got a JD cake topper from Ebay to go on top,
Centerpeices, OrientalTrading.com , green buckets, bought candy from them, ordered these labels off ebay that you can personalize and they wrap perfectly around Hershey Nuggets... It had the JD emblem on the topm and our names, wedding date on one side, and the words " sweet memories to come" on the other side.... The table clothes were white, but we had green and yellow bows...
The styrofoam tower for the cupcakes I decorated by hot gluing fake leaves and yellow and white daisies... It turned out so cute! But it was like 102 degrees out...

I was wondering what kind of bridesmaid dresses you had? I'm trying to find green but it's hard to find that color green. Looks like it might have to be yellow, not as big of a yellow fan though.

I didn't have bridesmaids.. Farm wedding, really small.. But I did think about the colors.. And I ended up thinking with white with alternating sashes of green and yellow... Or... Yellow dress green sashes.. And I was going for more of a summer dress look.. So yellow, green sash, and they actually have aplica' (sp?) shopes of flowers to put along the bottom.. There are websites you can order dresses whatever color you want... Also, don't jsut look at bridal stores, look at prom stores or even places like sears and JCpenny, if you find a dress you like the color but not some of the deatails.. I foudn it's relitivly cheap to have an alteration person change it..
