Do you go to church?? I went to a wedding in Long Island at a Catholic Church. Renting your church is much cheaper than most places. I am Epicopal and we are having the wedding and reception at church. (our church has a nice reception area). Also check with you local supermarket for refreshments, they usually will do platters you can pick up. Check Ebay for wedding gowns, I bought mine from be_elegant brines on ebay and it is a Pronovia, for 325.00 (which is less than she was asking) She was so helpful.
You could do mirror sqaures and candles for centerpieces, or Hurrican lamps. Check out thrift stores. Does your area have ivy or magnolia trees, that would be free. I have ivy growing in my back yard I am going to use that with a few flower around Hurricane lamps, for my centerpieces. Do you have any talent you could barter.
