I am having a 1950's themed wedding. I need honest opinions of what to do. We have the poodle skirts for the girls, the cuffed jeans and white tee shirts for the boys with the converse shoes. I have a 1950's looking dress. My fiance has a pin stripped suit. I don't want our wedding to become tacky. I need an idea for a photo invitation. We have a record cake and the decorations are leaning towards that theme as well. As for food we are having fruit salads, veggie trays, sandwiches, and noodle salads, along with jello. For a wedding like this do we dare play music from this era as well as that one? What am I forgetting or doing wrong? Can anyone help me PLEASE!
It sounds like your on the right path. One thing to consider is your guest's gift. Make sure it reminds them of your theme. Your centerpiece should also resemble your theme. Where are you located?
Hope this helps.

For the person that asked I am located in Minnesota. The centerpieces are old cars from that era. What are your gift ideas that are good but inexpensive. I was thinking of making cd's of music from then and having them look like records. Also am thinking about adding music that is in our wedding. Is that a good idea or a bad one? Thank you to those of you that have replied. Let me know what you all think.
