Wedding Colors

I have just got engaged and like many others I am absolutely clueless when it comes to flowers and colors! I am planning my wedding for October 2, 2004 and I would love to hear any suggestions regarding what colors would go good for this particular month and also any input about the flowers would be O.K. Too! Thanks

Ohmigod! I've just got engaged and my wedding is on 2nd October 2004, too!
I have had an idea of my wedding colours since I was 11! And will be going with cream, dark red and gold.
Hope that helps!

Re: Wedding Colors
I would go with a cornflower blue or a sunflower yelllow theme. You can mix these with cream, gold, silver, white, black, whateve you feel. Or go with whatever your favorite colour is, it's your wedding anyways! good luck

Re: Wedding Colors
If I were getting married in fall I would use that really pretty apple color..it"s kind of a not-so-bright red..I don't even care for red but it like it..or maybe a victorian lilac..it's darker then lilac but not dark enough to be considered regular purple..one of my friends is using it and she's getting married Oct 4..good luck!

Re: Wedding Colors
Hi... I got engaged this year and my wedding is on february 21, 2004. I'm going with pale gold and ivory with copper accents. However, some nice colors to go for in Oct would be maroon, bottle green, bronze with cream. I knew a girl who did that and had a fairy tale forrest theme... Autumn flowers in deep colors EVERYWHERE. Email me if you would like more details or any more ideas. Thisbadgirl@hotmail.com Good luck

Re: Wedding Colors
The pale gold and off white is more or less my color scheme... I've already got a lot of stuff in these tones and it all looks great. My bridesmaids will be in pale gold and so on.
However, some good color options are: maroon/off white, midnight blue/brilliant white, lavender/off white with silver, red/ivory.
For the ones who are having a hard time deciding try this out.... Take a hot bath, relax with a glass of chilled wine, play some music (something romantic) and then picture yourself at your wedding... See your bridesmaids and flowergirls and the venue decorations.... The color will come to you itself. I tried it and it really works!! :) Good luck! Isnt it a great feeling to be getting married :))))))))))))))))) God I sound so mushy!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Re: Wedding Colors
Try pale pink.... Or if you like... Green... Pale of course..... Red would work.... Consider bright red but in accents.. Sort of like a dash of red here and there.... It would create a pretty good effect. Good luck.

Re: Wedding Colors
Hello all,
As a florist and have done weddings before with the shop I work for and on my own. There is a ton of shades of colors out there. So pick the ones that you like. Seasons dont have rules on which colors can be used or not used. I would be more than happy to help anyone choose colors that go together. Or with ideas with silk or fresh arrangements as in center pieces, arches, bouquets, corsages, ect. I have done almost everything. Anyone can email me at angwillard@yahoo.com and I will help out as much as I can.

The table clothes at the restaurant will be red (chinese red), what other two colors will go good with it. I want it to look warm, but not too dark. Thank you very much! So glad I found this site!

Re: Wedding Colors
I am planning on getting married in December(in a couple of yrs), we are actually thinking around the 2nd but maybe later in the month. I am trying to decide between an "ice theme" which would include a periwinkle, silver, and white color theme...or a christmas theme with Deep red, white and silver. I don't know which would be better, but I have some time to decide.
