My fiance's aunt has been planning my bridal shower. Invitations have been sent out and I am flying into town to attend. Yesterday, she send me an e-mail saying she will not be attending. Any advice?
Your aunt is throwing you a bridal shower and will not be attending??? Is your aunt the Maid/matron of honor? if So then I personally would find another one..
I had chosen a matrin of Honor a while back... I really wanted to get working on my wedding and get things set into place.. BUT she had found a new boyfriend and had not time to help me with my wedding.. She just no longer seemed interested at all.. So I had talked toher about this and let her know that I am not the type of person to wait until the last minute.. To me she seemd al ittle busy... So I found a new Maid of Honor... I am very happy I did.. She is right with me with every thing... She wil
L call me almost daily to see how things are coming along.. She calls with ideas that she has or just about anything to do with the wedding.. Im no longer stressing about whether or not things are going to get done!
So if she is your maid of honor and isnt going to show up at a bridal shower she is throwing then maybe rethink it or ask her why.. Find out what happened for her to NOT show...
Um this is a hard one to offer advice on given that we do not know the reason your aunt is not attending your bridal shower. By all means if she is unwell or there is a fair enough reason for this then let it slide and just enjoy yourself. If she is not attending because she is just being difficult then i would certainly be upset given that she is the one that has arranged this for you. If her mind is made up then so be it, maybe one of your family members can take over the running of the shower in replace of her, hope it all works well for you, cheers
The aunt who is throwing the bridal shower is not going (she says) because she must attend a family picnic being thrown by her daughter and her new husband. I thought she was coming to the shower as well...
Mmmm, this sounds a little strange. Given what you have said above i would be asking questios if i was you, it does seem strange to organise a bridal shower for you then all of a sudden have to go to her daughters picnic, also the fact that the daughter was coming and now is not is awfully strange as well. I really hope you can get someone to take over the running of your shower in replace of your aunt. I t might just be a matter of turning your head the other way and just enjoying your shower with out them. Cheers
