To be honest, I'm not upset at all and have every intention in giving her a gift and there was absolutely no scanning of gifts at the wedding. My wedding was out of town so there were many people who waited until we got home to bring there gifts over. I was married a few months ago and am doing all my thank you notes. I am a little bit perplexed maybe that she has done this a couple of times at weddings and I guess I just don't understand it. Maybe I was raised differently but I don't think I could ever attend a wedding without giving a card at least.
I posted the message to see what other people did in my situation. My freinds and family are giving me mixed things to do so I thought I would try this message board. Is that okay?
Let it go. Her wedding is not grounds for revenge. So she didnt bring a gift, there is no accounting for manners in some people, but by harping on it (ala - how DARE she?!) you are doing nothing towards your friendship. I would never harp on the fact that i only recieved 99 gifts instead of 100. Who cares. Only someone so selfish would even dare to mention it to their friend either. You invite people for their company, not for their money and gifts. Let it go...
