To make a long story short I was going to ask a friend to be part of my wedding but turned around and decided not for this reason, I was married before and she did't show any interest in being a part of my day, didn't like the dresses, the color, where they were going to have the shower, my fiance, the list goes on and on. I eventually got a hold of her(3 weeks trying) and told her I didn't want her to be a part of my day. Eight years later I am getting remarried and kinda of feel guilty about not asking her to be included, we have since settled our differnces, but I'm not sure if I should worry about not asking her. I don't want to hurt her feelings but I also don't want the aggravation that I had before. We are not as close as we use to be, but I still think of her as a close friend.(we only really talk two or threee times a month) I've known her for 25 years. Anyone have any thoughts?????
You have to decide who is important in your life and those are the people that you should include in your wedding....even if you have known each other for 25 years it doesn't automatically make her a part of your wedding. It is your day and it should be spent with people whom you are truley close and want to be apart of your special day...not senortiy
Good luck....hey everyone will feel bad about something be it a guest that wasn't invited or a person that was not included in the ceremony but you have to decide what you want...its YOUR day...
When my finance & I chose those that we wanted to have stand up with us - we choose people that truly believed in our relationship & people that we felt we would be able to go to in times of trouble & they would be able to help us.
You are not obligated to have anyone in your wedding - once again - it's your day & you need to be happy with your choices & not worry about what others think.
