My daughter is getting married in May, 2001. She has opted not to have dancing at her reception. Any activity ideas as to what we can do after dinner to involve the guests?
Wow, I had the same prob. Then I came to this post and still have the same prob.! lol No offense girls but some of you were no help to that poor girl! why all the argueing? Anyway I thought about some ideas I also posted a message asking 4 some under different ideas. Ok ofcourse an oldie wed game ! men sit across from the girls each has a pen and poster card. You ask a question like if there were a fire what would be the 1 item your spouse would take? the spouse in question writes what they would take the other writes what they think they would take. Matching answers gets a point and so on. You can do a girls vs. Boys (so singles r included too) in a trivia game of family fued type of thing the winning team gets a special round of drinks or a scented candle. You can have a gift 4 the longest married couple. A kind of door prize,1st prize a gift certificate. You can do a Who has... Game.Ask who has a 1943 penny? who has a sewing needle on them or a band aid? winners get a small candle or picture frame. Or maybe massage oil. I got a reply on my post saying she didnt think games r a good idea 4 a wedding,that it was 4 showers, but my guest 4 mostly older and i only have 40 people coming plus not a lot of money so this will help me, Ill only need a dj for 2 hrs instead of 4 or 5. Please if you have any different ideas let me know. You should have a dj or recorded music at least 4 an hour or 2, just 2 get the celebration going, oh a classic in high end weddings ..put a penny under 1 plate at each table the person w/ the penny gets the centerpiece on the table.
