I am interested in having a 'ganster/mobster' theme wedding with the pin stripe suits and all. We are not interested in having a church wedding, rather we would like to create our own little setting on a nice piece of land. Do you have any suggestions as to what to wear for the bride and groom as well as the bridesmaids and groomsmen? Secondly, do you have any suggestions as to what the fashion and setting was like back then? What could we design that would resemble the 'ganster/mobster' era? (what year is it anyway~the 40's???)

I am planning a 20's gangster themed 18th birthday party with my friend. We wanted to make our party different and memorable without the theme embarassing anyone, so this seemed a good choice! We're leaving the clothes choices to the guests (providing example pics on the invites) so really the things we need help with are decorations and food/drinks. Does anyone have any links or advice about the sort of decor and refeshments we could use. The only prob is, being students, we have limited budgets - but any ideas would be gratefully received!
