This is my first visit to this site and am impressed with the great information. My daughter Kristi is getting married in a small restored theatre in Birmingham. Theatre seats 320 guest. Considering old hollywood movie or couple theme. Her BM's will wear black dresses of their choice..planning to use the stage for ceremony and reception. Would love to hear suggestions for decorating. We can use candles and lights. We will have an evening wedding. Wedding date is August 21, 2004. We will serve (heavy hors d'oeuvres) ..we will have 15- 48 inch round tables available for set-up and will have an additional 75 chairs. Approx # of guest 180 to 200. The stage is large with several curtains that can be raised. Our thought was to have the ceremony and instead of traditional procession at the end of the ceremony, to raise another curtain to display a dramatic setting with the tables decorated with flowers, lights candles. Would love to incorporate movie theme for table decorations etc. We can also hang decorations from the theatre fly rods located above the stage. Sorry this is so long. Thanks again.
