I am not a happy bride when it came to visiting the Costa Mesa, CA and the Santa Ana, CA store and was VERY upset to find that after making an appt to view dresses and expect customer service when I arrived at the store, no one greeted me at all. As well, I waited well over an hour after my appt was made and other brides shopping in the store said Good Luck getting someone to even ask if you need help. Needless to say, I am passing the word in a wide network of what would have been potential customers to say that David's Bridal does NOT employ corteous and attentive employees. NEVER would I want to shop there and a bride should feel like a PRINCESS, let alone at least a normal customer.
I also didn't realize David's Bridal was owned by May Co (as in Robinson's May, etc) until we looked in to getting tuxes from Gary's Tux who claimed they were in the process of merging with After Hours formalwear and were all now under the same May Co umbrella along with David' Bridal. Has anyone else been told this by an employee as well?
I had a lovely expericance at David's Bridal, I went to the one in Austria, Ny and was treated with respect, The costumer service varies from store to store, I am sorry no one waited on you, me and my FSIL made the most out of our wait (for an hour but I didnt have an appointment) and went through the racks for stuff to try on, therefore helping the lady out a bit.
I acutally had a great experience at David's Bridal (Eugene, OR) the women there were so helpful. I think it depends on where you go. I also went to another store (Richmond, CA) and I didn't get as much help but I was helped evenutally.
Sometimes you have a bad experience at a store. It happens. The people who work there can get swamped with customers, it can be difficult for them. They are only human.
This morning i am going to davids bridal for my first search for my wedding. Please tell me someone has had a good experience with them . You are all scaring me!!
