I am 19 years old and a freshman in college. I've been with my boyfriend, who is 21, for 9 months now and we have just started talking about marriage. We are talking about a date this summer, and I was just wondering everyone's opinion on getting married at the young age of 19.
I absolutely agree with april. Anyone considering a wedding, should consider the marriage first. I am not an expert, but any means, but me and my finance have put countless hours into our relationship. We have talked through and over, up and down all of our problems and thoughts. We are open and honest with each other, and have built our relationship on trust and honesty. Marriage is a life long commitment, so there is no need to rush. But, if you know it is the right time to get married, who cares what anyone thinks. Be resonable, smart, and wise about every decision, espeically the one to marry.
I'm getting married at the same age. I guess what you gotta consider is that this is the guy you'll be spending the rest of your life with...And if you're not prepared to do that,then I would seriously think about it.

Who do you think you are??? You people make me sick!! You have no right to sit there and judge people and tell them they will probably be divorced in a year.
Guess you have nothing better to do then come on here and put people down. And just because she forgot the y in marrying doesn't mean she does not know how to spell. Im pretty sure, actually I know you are not perfect; how do i know. Thats easy, because nobody is perfect. So i wish people who think they are would get over themselves.
If you don't have any descent advice to give then keep your advice to yourself.
Why do you have to be so immature? So what if people spell one word wrong. Are you getting married too? If so, you are probably stressed out. I can understand that. But you shouldn't take that out on other brides who also are very stressed out. And besides,you are hurting people's feelings.
I am getting married in 2 1/2 months! I wont be 19 till Ocotober!!! MY finace will be 20 by the time we're married..I AM "young" to most people! . I have known my fiance for over 8 years!!! I think I know him pretty well by now!!! As long as you are absolutely positive this is the guy....GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not every one is as luck as you ( and I) to find the RIGHT guy so young! But we did....and dont listen to people who say you wont last!!! If you have what it takes to last, you will!!! I am sure you dont want to be on the percent of couples who get divorced!!! If not...then DONT BE! Its as simple as that!!!!
