Little Coral Bridal Gowns

Has anyone purchased or know of anyone who purchased from Little Coral?

I took a chance and ordered a second gown from Little Coral and received the same today. The gown is absolutely beautiful and I like it better than the gown I spent a small fortune on for my ceremony. Little Coral kept in touch with me throught the entire process and I had my dress within 30 days. The workmanship is outstanding, don`t hesitate- order a gown from them, you will not be disappointed and I am very picky about such things. Let me know how you make out.

I just want to say thank you for your message(review) RE little coral,i have just ordered a wedding dress from them,i have been really concerned as i know nothing about them and have no idea about whether the dress will be the same as seen on the picture,or if the material using will be of quality.Thank you,you have given me some hope.

If you order from them - Order much larger than you think you need to! I measured two extra inches for everything so I would have room to alter - WAY TOO SMALL. Quality of dress okay. Small grease/machine oil stain on the back when arrived. My advice is to not do it. Go to a local shop and try dresses on. I took a chance and regret it - I`m out over $200. And have to get a new dress two months before my wedding.

I have bought a wedding dress from Little Coral this April,i was a little frightened about the quality of the dress,i had no problems keeping in touch although through e-mail only.I was quite suprised when the dress came,it was very good quality and workmanship.I was so pleased i have ordered my bridesmaids dresses as well, and expect them anytime now. They are far cheaper than buying from well known retailers.

I found the dress of my dreams at David`s Bridal but then my mother sent me a link to Little Coral with the exact same dress at HALF the price. The photo of the dress was the exact same photo that was in their magazine (I`m a graphic designer and noticed it immediately). All they had to do was to scan it in. I don`t know what to do. I need to save money so it makes sense to get the cheaper version if it really will be the same dress, but seems like a scam. Any thoughts?

I am in this same predicament. I found the loveliest dress for me at David`s Bridal but am determined to get the same effect for a smaller price. I chanced upon Little Coral that way. I`ve done quite a bit of research on them and have found:
1) A lot of people who question whether they are reputable but have never bought from them.
2) People who have bought from them and have been very happy
3) Only one person (on this board actually) who thought their investment was a waste.
I am thinking this is a pretty good sign. Please reply to this thread if you`ve actually bought from them and what your experience was like. I`m sure we all would appreciate it.

I ordered from little coral. I received the dress and was very happy with it. It was so beautiful and well made. I realized as I tried it on that it was too small. I had done the measurements myself. I got professionally measured and realized I had measured wrong.
I ended up selling the dress that was too small and ordering a new one from little coral with my correct measurements.
I just received the new dress and it is also beautiful and FITS! However it is a bit different from the first dress the placement of the lace is slightly different. But it is still beautiful! I am over all very pleased with it and the cost was wonderful! I would have to say "go for it" and order from them but get professionally measured and also give yourself ample time for the making and shipping of the gown. Over all for the price it is a wonderful alternative to designer dresses!!

I just ordered my dress from Little Coral after doing a lot of online research about the company. I asked them to custom make a dress for me that is inspired by the Alfred Angelo Sapphire #759 wedding gown. I alsp emailed them questions back and forth for about a month before making my decision. They seem to do good quality work. I am going to have my measurements taken by a professional seamstress/tailor. I`ll let you know how it turns out.

I know this message is a little late but...
I purchased my dress from them. I had the opposite effect. They took a dress that was made for someone twice my size, at least, they folded the fabric, left it bunched up on the sides of the dress and sewed it back together. They also sewed over the beading and it can`t be laced up right because it is still too big. I had read many good things about them, they have 100% rating on eBay.com. It was definitely a disappointment to find that my dress was not custom made for me at all. So now I have to spend more money to have it altered.

I purchased my dress from and sent my measurements (done correctly, as my grandmother is a retired seamstress) to LittleCoral about two months ago.

I received my dress from LittelCoral three days ago. The dress is indeed beautiful and it is the perfect fit around the bust, waist and is also the right length. The embroidery work is gorgeous and I am very pleased with the material used.

However, the seamstress decided to sew the hips two full inches smaller than the stated measurement. Only 1 inch of allowance of fabric is needed in industry, but this person took off 3 inches to leave me 2 inches short.

I have written to LittleCoral to say that I am keen for them to alter the dress (I`ll pay the fee), even though it is their fault for not counting inches correctly. If they do not respond, then I will have two options: 1) buy the same dress from them but micro-manage their quality assurance process over 8 weeks because they might make a mistake again OR 2) lose two inches off my hips via dieting/exercise.

I will let you know what LittleCoral`s response, if any, is.

Above, I stated that I was researching and researching Little Coral and found no big problems (except sizing sometimes). I received my dress yesterday (I was so excited) and it fit very well! It was not exactly like the David`s Bridal dress, there were a few differences, but my relatives all liked the changes better in this dress. They also thought the dress was better made, the fabric was nicer. It fits really nicely and complements my body so well. I am very happy with my purchase, especially since I can use the money I saved in other much needed areas. I can`t guarantee that everyone`s experience would be a nice as mine, I was EXTRA careful about sizes, I kept in close communication. I would suggest doing that if you purchase from Little Coral. They do a good job overall. I received my dress in less than 30 days. Yes, you read that right. Enjoy!

Hi,

LittleCoral has written back to say that they will alter the dress for free because they admitted the error. All I need to do is pay the shipping fee to them.

Hopefully they can make the alteration with little damage to the dress!

I agree with the post above that more active communication on my part was required. If I had been checking up on them all the time, then the measurements would have been double checked prior to shipping.

I too have had problems with submitting a ticket on Little Coral`s website. Does anyone have an email address for them? I think there is a problem with their system. I have not ordered my dress yet, but am ready to as soon as I can ask them a couple of questions. Thanks in advance for your help.

I`m considering buying a dress from them. For those who have received a dress from them, how are the materials different from the actual designer? I heard horror stories about China materials. Please advise. Thanks!

Before buying a dress from Little Coral (now something else I think) I tried on the real style from David`s Bridal one more time for my in-laws to see. They of course liked it . .blah blah blah. But when the dress came in from China, they told me they were convinced that it was much more nicely made and the materials actually seemed better! I wasn`t expecting much and at that point I was beginning not to care too much about the little details, but they were absolutely sure that this dress was much better than the dress they saw on me a week before. And I made sure that they weren`t saying that just to be nice. (= Of course, instances may vary, but I would agree that I liked my Little Coral dress better. Fit like a glove!
