Having formed over five years ago, Perfect Blue have played hundreds of gigs and in front of thousands of people. These include entertaining at the biggest sailing event in the world, supplying smooth soul for corporate events at Café de Paris, Babington House, RAC Club Epsom and Café Grand Prix, and performing at parties and weddings across the country. No gig is too far way for us, having travelled as far a field as Greece, Scotland and Wales for work! And we also provide our own PA system.

Do you take requests?
Yes! If the tune is in our repertoire we will gladly oblige, and if there is a particular song that we don’t currently play, let us know in advance, and, if we can get the music we will play it for you.

Will we need to provide any equipment?
No. All we require is a 240V, 13 amp power source.

What will you wear?
Smart-casual, suits or DJs at your discretion.

How long do you play for?
Typically, we play 45min-1hr sets with 15-30 minute breaks in between. The number of sets and set length will be by prior agreement. We are extremely flexible, and if an event requires music for irregular time periods this can of course be arranged.

I’m not sure what line-up I require
We can manage most line-ups. Contact us and we can advise you what is best for your event.

Will you play outside?
Yes, as long as we’re adequately protected from the elements (including sunshine) and it is safe to do so e.g. power sources are protected, level surfaces etc.

How much will it cost?
Fees are dependent on: how many musicians you want (we can be anything from 2 upwards, although more than 5 is unusual), how long you would like us to play for, when it is (New Years Eve will be premium rates while a Wednesday afternoon in January would be much cheaper) and where the venue is. Contact us for more information and we can develop a quote that suits your needs.

How do we pay?
You book the band by paying a 20% deposit. The remaining balance will be due either on the day of the event as cash/cheque, or the week of the gig via a bank transfer. Preferably all payments are to be made by bank transfer as it makes the arrangements more transparent. As an alternative we will take cash or cheque. We are not yet liable for VAT.

What happens if we cannot play?
There are contingency plans in place to cover the most likely problems. Our first gig was in 2001 and we are yet to let anyone down.

Are you insured?
We hold the standard Nation Musicians Union public liability insurance.

There will be speeches; can we use your PA?
Yes. But you need to arrange this in advance as it may have to be moved for when the band plays.

What other facilities do the band need?
If the arrangements include a lot of waiting time, you will need to give thought as to where the band can wait. While refreshments for the band are always welcome they are not mandatory. You may need to advise us on whether the band can purchase food and drinks locally, otherwise we will bring our own.
