Fireworks Art Cafe - Ceramic Painting Party
Everyone can create something shelf or wall worthy at our studio (and have a great time too).

Our goal is to provide a friendly, inviting atmosphere where all ages can relax, make new friends, spend quality time with family, and most of all, just have fun.

Exactly what is FireWorks Art Café?
It's a story time place, a birthday or wedding/baby shower place, it’s a diva or goddess place, a date place, a princess or pirate party place. It’s a place for toddlers, kids, tweens, high-school seniors, SINKs, DINKs, families, moms, dads and babies and baby bloomers. EVERYONE is welcome to the newest shop in Damascus, a paint your own pottery studio that offers glass fusing too! (Sorry, no food – just a menu of things to do.)

We are conveniently located on Ridge Road (formerly Roby’s Frame Shop*) in the heart of Damascus. Our walls are filled with the latest bisque designs and you’ll have the option of painting with glaze (with pick up 5-7 days later after firing) or acrylics (take it with you!). As soon as we can we’ll be adding lampworking (making your own glass beads) to the “menu.” Even if you say, "I can't paint" - "I'm not creative" - "I can't draw" .

Birthday Parties
You bring the cake and party hats. We have a selection of FUN bisque ranging from $15-$25/child. The big kids can have a good time at our parties too, so if you want us to alter the party for adults – just let us know and we'll find something appropriate for your event (even glass fusing).

Wedding Showers
Bring the girls (and guys) and let them paint your pre-selected pieces with your coordinating colors, or if you like the eclectic let them do what they want, or how about a commemorative plate to the groom and bride worthy of wall space in their home - we can help with the details. Bachelorette parties can also be planned at our studio after hours. See the details below for renting the studio after hours.

Baby Showers
Have the guests all make something to go in baby's room -- cute zoo animals, baskets to hold supplies, plaques for the walls, plates with cute sayings (we can supply ideas) and more. As well, get a gift certificate for after the birth for baby to come in and get a footprint and/or handprint plate. We have many styles available and as always, we love to customize too.

Team Building Events
How about having your next office FUNction at FireWorks Art Café? Your group can have a mug swap where one person paints for three minutes on a mug, a timer goes off and then you pass to the next person, and so on. Or, paint your very own piece of pre-selected bisque and have a competition when they are fired and returned to the office (we can deliver for $10 locally). * * *

Field Trips
We can work with your group to create a class, teach a technique or just offer something different for a special day. Whether it's your daycare, eldercare, church, synagogue, soccer, football or softball team, scouts troop or school field trips or home schoolers, give us a call and we'll be happy to help you facilitate some FUNtastic ideas.

FUNdraisers
We have several ideas to help our community's FUNdraising efforts. Some of them will be at completely no cost to the organization (non-profits only) while others may have a small fee (for profit organizations). If you are a non-profit and can provide the necessary paperwork for tax purposes, we will be happy to donate a finished item, a pottery to go basket for completion at the studio or discount coupons for your FUNdraising event. We can also select timeframes where a portion of the sales made on a given day can be donated to your organization (great for churches and schools).

Events for the Kiddies

PRINCESS PARTIES
What little girl isn’t a princess? On the first Wednesday of every month bring your princess to paint a special project. We have picture frames, crown plates, princess bisque and other princess related items. We charge $5.00 for each princess plus the cost of the item selected. The charge includes a slice of pizza, a drink and a cookie. Dress ups are welcome, but not required for entry. We try to have a few crowns and other items available so no one feels left out. (Kings are welcome too.) Reservations aren't necessary, but are suggested.

PIRATE PARTIES
Yo-Ho-Ho, ARRRR and Howdy Mate! On the second Wednesday of every month round up those scarvy little pirates and bring them to FireWorks for a little land-faring FUN. We will have pirate related bisque including ships, pirate heads or faces, pirate hats and more. We charge $5.00 for each pirate plus the cost of the item selected. The charge includes a slice of pizza, a drink and a snack (cookie). We do not discriminate based on dreadlocks or peglegs (costumes allowed). We try to have a few props so no one feels left out. (Scullery maids or pink pirates welcome.) Reservations aren't necessary, but are suggested.

STORYTIME THURSDAYS
Every Thursday at 10:00 we have storytime. We’ll select a book from our local library and then paint a piece of bisque that goes with the story -- for example, if we read "Bambi" we would offer choices of a deer/fawn or bunny. Please check the calendar for the title and cost as it varies from week to week (we try to keep it under $15). For the price of your bisque we include a small snack (cookies) and drink. Reservations aren't necessary, but are suggested.

Events for the ‘Tweens or Kid’s at Heart

“BLOOMERS” (BABY BOOMERS & SENIORS)
Every Tuesday and Wednesday from opening through 2:00 pm. If you have your AARP card you qualify for a 20% discount on any bisque item in stock. And if you combine it with your “Frequent FireWorks Fun” card we’ll give you an extra 5% off with every visit during these hours. No reservations necessary, just come in to receive your discount.

DATE NIGHT
Every Friday night from 7:00pm until 9:00pm is DATE NIGHT. You don’t have to be on a date to attend, but we’ll give you 10% off your total purchase (you and your date) if you are. Feel free to have pizza delivered or bring a picnic basket with your own goodies. We'll help you pick out your bisque if you haven't been here before and get you both started out with the hopes that you will return again and again.
