What is the propper amount of time to send out invitations to a 50th wedding anniversary party

If it is a more formal, elaborate celebration, you should probably send them out 6-8 weeks in advance - the same as wedding invitations. If it is less formal, 3-4 weeks in advance should be sufficient.
