Replacement Of Guest Book

Replacement Of Guest Book

Just an idea for everyone, I didn`t want to do a guest book, and I wanted to think of something different so we decided to go with postcards. There is going to be a mailbox on the table and a basket of postcards and a small note asking guests to fill out the postcard with a wedding wish for the bride and groom. Once we leave for our honeymoon one of my bridesmaids will drop them off in the mail, so when we get back we`ll come home to a mailbox of good wishes.I thought it was a cute idea. We are having a "love" themed wedding and someone found these love/victorian postcards at the dollar store they are great! The postcards will be addressed to us but the stamps won`t be put on till they get mailed. Just a little idea for someone that wanted to do something different!
Good luck to all! wedding is April 3, 2004 anyone else out ther getting married on that day?

Re: Replacement Of Guest Book

Hi Diane,
Your idea sounds cute. I am getting married on June 26, 2004. We are having a very small wedding, and instead of a guest book I made a Blessing Bool out of a journal. I have put a page in asking everyone to leave a special messang or blessing for us. I think it wlil work out.
Good luck,
Sandie

Re: Replacement Of Guest Book

My friend had a large vase at the " sign in " tableThat was decorated and had a sticker that said " Wedding Wishes" with her name/ date. She also had cute little cards made with her name / date and wwere decorated. The idea was the same as yours; for the guests to writ ewedding wishes. In this case they dropped the card in the vase.
Have a great day !

Re: Replacement Of Guest Book

Hello all!

I`m a wedding photographer - one of the things I`ve done to give couples a very unique keepsake for their wedding day is to get a 16x20 mat (for framing) with an 8x10 photo cut out. Then, the glass is removed for the cermony and guests sign in their well wishes around their picture. Its a very nice keepsake. After the wedding - just put the glass on and put it on a wall (your own personal wall art!) I usually include it with a couples engagement photo.

Re: Replacement Of Guest Book

We had talked about this as well. What we decided on was I Bought 2 Scrapbooking Books At Hobby Lobby & decorated them to sit out on the Table where they come in & leave us a Wish, Blessing or a Memory.
My Father in-Law will be taking picturesof the Guests so we`ll have a picture of them to put with their Message on our Special Day.
