A boyfriend is a boyfriend but a friend is a friend. You never know what could happen with a bf and lets just say the relationship ended really bad...you don't want to see him in your pictures and video FOREVER! I chose a good friend and yes my bf got jealous but let's just say we end up bad...I wouldn't want to look at my pics and say,"Man, I shouldn't have chosen him." Plus your bf is gonna be there and you don't HAVE to be with your escort the WHOLE time. I wasn't.
Hey vanessa i agree with jennifer cuz it's true u guys might be together right now but who knows what might happen in the future, and a bestfriend is a bestfriend for a reason, ur gonna be able to count on him for anything i'm not saying u won't be able to count on ur bf but like i said ur bestfriend is ur besfriend for a reason so i think u should ask ur bestfriend besides u can be with ur bf all night.
OKAY i agree with Jennifer an Joana, but i also have this little thing in the back of my head that says you should choose youre boy friend, because it'd be so cute if he was you're chambelan de honor, and thats a really cruddy arument, never mind, Choose your best friend, you and your boy friend will still be toghether in that way the whole night anyway, and even if the boyfriend relationship doesn't end badly ya might have a yucky feeling in the back of your throght of you're time with him, like you really miss him, or ya really hate him, either way you friend isn't gonna get in the way of youre quinceanera feelings, and that way when your watching the video you won't have a weird feeling about your old boyfriend in a couple of years, ya know, it's sticking to your night as a princes, and time with your family and friends! But if youre boyfriend is really upset about choosing him, then just go with your boyfiend, i guess, but if you think youre boy friend is missing out youre stiill gonna take a bunch of couple pictures , and dance with him, just not as the one de honor. I hope i didn't confuse u, just go with your best friend!
I thought that your not even supposed to have a boyfriend just yet? Isn't having a quince all about barely becoming a young woman and introducing the girl to society? Why do some parents already let thier girls have boyfriends and all? Is every tradition different? Please respond.
Jeez...you swear like we don't grow up in a society where we are growing up real fast. I didn't know about sex til I was in 6th grade and my brother already knew about it in the 3rd grade and he's barely going into 6th grade. I do agree with you that's it part of tradition and all but face the facts...we are growing up fast. I had my first bf in the third grade! He was in 5th I was in 3rd. I know that you're thinking...well what's going to happen when you're that young...what do we know about. But if you have kids....make sure YOU know what they know...because then...you never know.
First) Well how come some girls aren't aloud to date until there quince, was i not supposed to have a boyfriend already???

Her response was, i was fine, it's just that some peoples familys in mexico are from small towns, and they're more strict on things like that, but when youre from the city like our family, it doesn't really matter to us!
So that made sence also, she didn't say this, but i don't think that applys to all small town or city people, it's just common, or at least it was back then.
For people who have chosen there kids to be born and/ or raised in america, there's no one common way, americas so unique and free that, nowadays it's by what the parents have made/ decided the rules for there daughter when she's aloud to date , whether they feel comfortable with there daughter dancing at party's with boys, let alone men before there 15, ya know, in my situation, like many others my family mostely my DAD was the one encourageing me to be social and dance at party's, and they always encouraged me to date, of course one guy asked permission before asking me out so those kinda things make our parents f3el more comfortable.
No matter what way our family has chosen for us to be raised, there is no wrong or right way there all whats best for there daughter.
One more thing, is that, in my honest opinion, for parents other adults reading this, if it sound wierd to you that young girls such as 14, are already dating, and having older boyfriends and are against that, must realize that 1) Things have changed these days 2) Try and remeber back to when u were a teen and 3) Hispanic girls are much more responsible, and mature, they grow up quicker and realize they have things to do with there life, they date more seriously, and more family oriented with there boyfriends then other ethnicity's, and all these things come at a younger age,... These hispanic girls at 14 and 15 dating are not the ones you should be worrying about, these girls take on much more responsibilty and seriousnes to life at a younger age than most girls living in america.. Thats all i have to say!

I think you should choose your boyfriend.I think you should put your best friend with one of your damas.It would be cute because you would be able to dance with your boyfriend in the waltz.It would almost be like your wedding,but only celebrating your birthday.

Take this from experience...don't try to satisfy anyone. Put all the guys with the girls YOU want to put them with. Trust me on this because if you let one guy go with the girl he wants then everybody else is gonna want to change partners and then if you don't let them change partners they'll but up your butt forever. So put whoever YOU want w/whoever YOU want. It's your quinceanera anyway.
I CAME OUT IN A 15 AND MY CHAMBELAN WASNT THAT GREAT BUT I DID IT FOR MY FRIEND IT DOESNT MATTER CHOOSE AND CHOOSE DONT MATTER IF THE GIRL DONT LIKE THE GUY OR THE GUY DONT LIKE THE GIRL THE JUST HAVE 2 DEAL WITH IT!! Hey well i dont know what to tell you choose you think can dance and who you will have the most fun with. I mean others might not like if you have your b\f because he is 19 but if you dont want him too have him still in it and you dance with your best friend i mean your b\f should trust you anyways
