I recently attended a weeding where a girl played a guitar and another sang the song "Crazy Love." I'm not sure who sings this...but I know it's in a TV commercial right now and I found the lyrics on a Brian McKnight page. It was so BEAUTIFUL that I am thinking of using it in my own wedding next year! It brought tears to my eyes - and I'm not an emotional person!
I've also attended weddings where the father & daughter danced to "How Sweet It Is" by James Taylor. Very cute!

I was in Ekerd's the other day and saw a CD that has been put out byradio talk show host Delilah. It had a lot of songs on it for kids but also about being a parent and parent/child relationships. I didn't buy or listen to the CD but it is a suggestion.
I would like to know if anyone has ideas for Mother and son dances. I see alot of father and daughters but I would like some ideas for mother and son songs. The only one I know is the Lee Ann Womack song.

Hi, I chose. Land of the Rising Sun (I think that is the title). It has no certian words for father and daughter. But this is my dads favorite song and it reminds me of my dad everytime I hear it. I was married briefly years ago so this time around I am going with what I want, not what the normal is!!!! I would suggest dancing to your dad's favorite slow song, no matter what it is!!!

I have a great father/daughter dance that someone else told me about. It's called "Daughter of Mine" I think the man's name is John McDermott. I was balling when I heard it. It is very touching and talks about dancing with his daughter on her wedding day and giving her away. The song my fiancee picked for dancing with his mother is "Through the years" by Kenny Rogers. It fits some people to the tee. She was a single mom and did a great job raising him and his 5 brothers and sisters! Good Luck to you!!!
A suggestion might be for you to utilize your search engine and type in DJ's. I've seen several DJ's list songs for both bride and groom dances with their parents.
I just got married on July 19 ,2003. We used "The Parent's Prayer" I forget who sings it, but both my dad and I and my husband and his mother danced to this song at one time because my daddy didn't want to be up there dancing hisself. The song brought tears to my eyes. It talks about letting your children go.
