I would like to get married on the beach in florida ( around panama city ) or charleston, sc next summer. Since I live in another state, I have no idea where to begin- any ideas? Would it be better to use a package or try to plan my own? Does anyone know of any websites with actual pictures of weddings and the decor?
You can just look up hotels in florida. Most or all hotels have websites where you can look up there halls. Just do a serach for florida hotels, halls, party supplies. Look threw bridal show websites they have locl vendors for most states.

Dear Tiffany, I too am planning a florida beach wedding. I found a great web site-www.weddingsbythe sea.com I have not yet contacted them personnaly but it seems they do everything, and the website shows great pictures of weddings by and on the sea. I would suggest letting someone else plan the details since you don't need one more thing to worry about before the wedding let alone arranging how to return the chairs etc you rented for the beach. Hi! I am getting married next June in Grayton Beach, about 20 miles west of Panama City. The planning is finally coming together. If you don't live where you want to have the wedding, I would suggest having a wedding coordinator do it for you. There are TONS in this area. They can do everything for you. Search the internet for Panama City beach weddings (or even Destin). I have opted to do it myself, but when I was unsure, I talked to Cheri and Kim at Forever I do beach weddings. They were very nice. If you're interested in the Panama City area, you should look just a few miles west at the beaches of South Walton. There are lots of beaches to choose from and they are all gorgeous. Its a great atmosphere for a wedding! Check it out!!
I live in Florida but got married in Charleston, SC at the Charleston Chapel for Weddings. They will provide everything from flowers to photography and there are several different wedding packages to choose from. The chapel itself is very pretty inside and out (not tacky or cheap like some) and the staff is wonderful. Our wedding went quite smoothly, and everything was planned from out of town! You can find out everything you need to know at www.charlestonchapel.com. I've lived in Florida all my life, and it can't compare with the beauty of Charleston. Go to www.google.com the search website. Type in panama city weddings and you will get a lot of sites to go to for a beach wedding. It looks like a package deal would be your best bet.
