I am getting married in Oct. 2003 and really need an inexpensive plus size wedding dress {even a bridemaid's dress would work}. My measurements are:
Bust -57"
Waist -55"
Hips -63"
Height -6'2"
I would prefer a dress without a train or a small one. I would prefer the dress to have some kind of sleeves. Please understand that the dress has to be affordable -$150 or less. Amanda, have you tried Ebay yet? I got mine from Ebay for $199 (brand new, but there are some used gowns as well), and I'm a plus sized bride also. Under the search area either type in "plus size wedding gown" or if you happen to know your size type in "sz -- wedding gown". Good luck.
I went to our local mall and bought my wedding dress at DEB for under $40.00 - mine is a size 18 and is strapless but, keep a store like that in mind. I think mine was intended to be a prom gown and it looked great. Sears and Penney's also have some great dresses.
Hey how did your wedding go? did you get an answer to a place where you can get a dress/ gown? i really need one too because i am getting married soon in exactly 10 days... Do you know of a place i can get one?
