Hey there, my sister asked me to have my daugher in the wedding, and she is already getting married at my house, having the reception there.. ( 50 people) . I already have a daughter as a flower girl. I cant really afford a dress for my other daughter. Is it proper to say no? or charge the dress?
I think that it would hurt your other daughters feelings to find out that you allowed your one daughter in the wedding and not her, even though she was invited. I would just suck back the cost and let her be in the wedding or not have either included.
Don't leave her out- Is there anyone else who could help pay for the dress- a grandmother or aunt ect.? If not charge it if you are able and sell it to a resale shop or on ebay when the wedding is over.
Of course we have no way of knowing what your financial situation is- if it just isn't possible maybe she could wear a less expensive dress in a matching color/fabric/style. Jr bridesmaids often wear simpler versions of the bridesmaid dresses.

Did you tell your sister you can't afford it. You are already going over and above for her. We are having my niece and nephew stand up which I though was a lot to ask, so when my fiancee went for tuxes they said the grooms is free because we are renting more than 5, so he asked if he couldn't make the ringbearer's free instead and they said that would be fine. It would of cost my sister the same to rent that tiny tux as the groomsmen are paying! So at least now she will only have to pay for the flowergirl dress. So we don't feel so bad now putting them out. So maybe if you tell her it is really a burden for you, perhaps they could help you.
