Summer Wind's repertoire showcases the great jazz standards from the **'s through the **'s made famous by Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme and others. The smooth vocal stylings of Dave Scott (KUSI TV news personality and San Diego icon) provide the voice for Summer Wind. The band also features saxophonist Bill Shreeve who is strongly influenced by the cool west coast sound of Paul Desmond and Stan Getz. Summer Wind is rounded out with piano, upright string bass, and drums. Option One: Solo Sax With Backing Tracks

Bill Shreeve performing on soprano, alto and tenor sax with the use of a small P.A. system and prerecorded backing tracks. It's your compact and economical way to offer a live jazz performance of classic and contemporary jazz standards.

Option Two: Jazz Duo

Saxophonist Bill Shreeve teams up with a keyboardist playing piano and key bass. The keyboardist simultaneously plays key bass as well as piano, so with the use of a drum machine, you get the sounds of a bass player and drummer to make the duo sound like four musicians instead of two! The Bill Shreeve Duo is far more colorful and entertaining than a solo pianist or guitar, but not much more expensive.

Option Three: Jazz Trio or Power Trio

Add a live drummer or bass player to the duo and you have the Bill Shreeve Trio. The Power Trio adds vocals to the mix. Bill's drummer just happens to be a great vocalist as well, so in just three pieces (sax/flute, keys/key bass, drums/vocal), you have all the elements of a * piece band!
