I am a mother to one darling daughter and wife to a fabulous husband. I discovered my love for balloon twisting when I purchased myself a small balloon animal kit at a bookstore over the holidays in ****. Despite many "pops" and a broken balloon pump due to age of that initial kit, I found a love for balloon twisting. My husband and daughter have been willing to share my time with the public as I find my niche with balloons.
In my first year of balloon twisting, I have been blessed with a weekly restaurant spot with my friends at Friendly's on Shoemaker Rd. in Pottstown, have performed a gospel balloon show, balloon story times and many, many private birthday parties, a wedding and many other public events. The highlight of **** was the opportunity I had to travel to Las Vegas to attend a balloon twisting convention called Diamond Jam where I was able to learn incredible designs and techniques in person from some of the top balloon professionals in balloon twisting. While at the convention, I entered into the New Diamond Competition (for those who have never entered a competition before) where my sculpture placed third.
Recently, I have followed my clients' leading and have entered the world of balloon decor and have found I love that as well.
Some days I just wonder.....where have these balloons been my whole life? I know, they are just balloons but I find it hard to be sad when I'm around so much color. Combine this new love for balloons with my love of children, and theater background and I believe we have a wonderful combination.
I look forward to putting many smiles on faces of children and adults at birthday parties, community events, restaurants and well, anywhere a balloon or two may be needed.
