Micaela prefers to observe the wedding day rather than direct it. She stays in the background, quickly and quietly taking pictures. Over 90% of the pictures she takes are captured without the subject even being aware of her camera.
Pricing
Pricing is based on one fixed price, regardless of the number of pictures taken (which can range anywhere from 500 to 1500). There are no time restrictions or hard-sell issues regarding packaging. Also includes a custom album with 100 of your favorite images. All of your photos will be available online for purchase through your own personal, password-protected link. All prints are custom-created prints via Pictage, one of the most exclusive custom labs in the country, servicing the highest quality photographers in the world. Travel rates are available upon consultation.
Formal Photography
Micaela’s clients choose her because of her low-key approach. However, there are occasions when a client would prefer to also have the traditional formal family portraiture, and Micaela is more than happy to accommodate. The key to Micaela’s approach is to allow the natural flow of the wedding day for the bride and groom, so it is suggested that formal portraits be kept to a minimum of 6 family units, and a select number of bride and groom images.
Photographers
Micaela is the sole photographer, and always operates with an assistant. This approach not only allows for less interference, but also creates a more comfortable atmosphere for guests who do not have several hovering photographers at your event.
Presentation
An additional asset to having Micaela photograph your wedding, is simply her ability to allow the bride to be at ease during her preparation period before the wedding, and throughout the day. Her personable demeanor, and supportive nature allow the bride to enjoy the entire process of her wedding knowing her memories are being captured with a combination of professionalism as well as warmth.
