Frank Jordan’s Compact Big Band has added a special sparkle to many public and private events and functions since 1969. Past clients include: the Pasadena Heritage Society (sponsors of the fabulous annual Colorado Street Bridge Party); the Pasadena Ballroom Dance Association; the University Club Of Pasadena; the Pasadena Board of Realtors; the Altadena Heritage Society; numerous local Country Clubs; and literally hundreds of wedding receptions, anniversary and birthday parties, corporate banquets, and college, high-school, and family reunions.

We specialize in re-creating the swinging sounds of the “Big-Band Era” as a popularized by Glenn Miller, Jimmy Dorsey, Harry James, Benny Goodman, and other famous bands of the times; but we also cover many “Pop-Rock” standards and “Jazz-Rock” classics from Chicago, Blood – Sweat and Tears, Tower Of Power and other popular recording artists from more recent years. Professionally-arranged material allows us to play these popular styles with bands ranging from five to nine pieces, so we can accommodate any budget!
