Kimo is a member of AFM, AFTRA, NARAS (The Recording Academy) Recording Musicians Association, The Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts and ASCAP.

Besides being well respected in Hawaii, Kimo is generally considered the top slack key artist in California. A virtuosic player and prolific composer, his delicate, heartfelt playing technique and his generous output of new, exciting slack key guitar originals puts him solidly in a category of his own.
