Michael Aingel came of age in New York singing the music and songs, of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin and other greats of that time, with his friends on the street corners of Queens. Performing since his teens with Jazz & Be Bop legends such as trumpeter composer Howard "the Lip" McGhee, one of the pioneers of modern jazz, Joe Roland, the greatest jazz vibraphonist of the era, the Jive Bombers and many others.

In the 1960s Michael was part of the original Jazz Vespers, a concept worship service which served as an outreach ministry for the jazz community begun in New York City by John Gensel, the "patron saint of jazz". Michael was in good company during those years as famous jazz greats Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, Coleman Hawkins, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Max Roach, Erroll Garner, to name a few were all participants.

More recently, Michael has been performing in his own show "Remember When" incorporating renditions of the songs of the greats. He has twice been a Senior Idol finalist, and has performed as a guest artist throughout South Florida and venues from coast to coast.

Michael is currently a recording artist for Music Minus One, Inc. and Pocket Songs. One of his fondest remembrances is meeting Frank Sinatra at a private party held in the original Playboy Mansion in Chicago.
