Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your lives. You want everything to be perfect. And in the months ahead you will be taking great care in deciding your wedding and reception locations, the caterers, the flowers, the pictures, etc. And of course, you will need someone to officiate for you. For most importantly on your special days of days should be the words spoken and the vows exchanged as you both become husband and wife. The commitment of your love, the giving of the rings, and of course the kiss. The seal that from this day forward "I take you to be my love for all the days of our lives." It's all very wondrous and exciting! And it can be overwhelming.

Allow me to introduce myself. I am the Reverend Irene Silvey and I have been doing personalized wedding ceremonies since 1989. Weddings are my life's work and also my greatest joy. My brides and grooms are the most important people to me and I work extremely hard to give them the wedding ceremony that has meaning for them. My voice is strong, and my presentation meaningful and eloquent.

When meeting with you, we will work to create a beautiful wedding service incorporating the joyfulness of the day and at the same time, honoring the sanctity of the vows. Choosing from my services, whether they be civil, nondenominational or religious, they will always reflect the ideals and individualities of the two of you. And of course you may write your own service and/or vows.

I have worked with many people from all over the world, including such places as Taiwan, Austria, Germany, Japan and of course here in the United States. I have been asked to perform wedding ceremonies in Africa and Canada. And I am planning next year to go to the state of Pennsylvania to renew vows from a couple that I had officiated.
