Caricature Artist

I’d be happy to do some studio caricatures for you! What I normally charge for studio work breaks down like this: Each picture would be a single image, and is a headshot of the figure, from the shoulders up. Prices are per person.

Black and White = $40 for each person
Hand Color = $50 each
Digital Color = $75 each

MATERIALS For black and white, I use a brush tip marker. For coloring by hand, I use colored pencils and woodless color pencils. Digital coloring is done in Photoshop. I’m flexible in my style, so if you want pencil drawings, or very stylized digital caricatures, just let me know.

BODIES
If you would also like a little cartoon body with the heads, I can do that too. Depending on the amount of detail you would like, adding a body can cost anywhere from $5 to $20. This price is at my discretion, once I find out what you would like. It’s a lot harder to draw a crowd scene, than just having someone kick a soccerball!

SIZE
I usually work on 11”x14” Bristol, but if there is another size they would like, let me know.

What I would need from you are emailed photos, snail mail photos, or even a link to good online photos. I draw frontal caricatures, so shots of people from the side are not needed (unless requested!). I would prefer at least two photos minimum per person, but I can make do with one. Also, be sure to note eye color, hair color, and anything you want me to include if it’s not clear in the photo. Otherwise, what I see is what you get!

When I’m done, I will mail the finished drawings to you. If the drawing is a digital picture, I will include a disk containing hi resolution versions of each image at 600 dpi, ready to print in .jpg, .tiff,. or .psd formats (whichever you prefer)
