My step-daughter is getting married May 12, 2007, another camo theme. LOVE your idea with the fish and fishbowls. Bridesmaids are wearing a champagne color and she`s having the vests made for the men. (18 total in the wedding party). We haven`t been able to find a nice invitation with the camo that the groom wants, but she has decided to use a copper color for the border as well as the little favor bags. Another thing we are doing is bringing the hunting theme into the reception with the food... Deer sausage. Have also considered making the boutineers with a turkey or duck pinfeather and acorns. There`s honestly not a lot out there to fit the theme.. So we`ve had to tweak it to an outdoors/woodsy theme to some extent. What we have seen is photos of some really tacky stuff! I`m certain there is a way to have a tasteful, traditional camo wedding. Even if we have to rack our brains and reach out to creative strangers for advice. Hope this helps some!!

Hey, I am planning on doing the camo theme as well for my wedding. I found this website with a bunch of links for camoflauge weddings. I was thinking about my bridesmaids having pink and brown for their colors do you guys think that goes well with the camo theme? I will take any other ideas you have as well. I need some more suggestions myself. Here is the link, hope it helps you future brides! http://www.askginka.com/themes/huntingtheme.htm

What are you doing for your wedding dress? Are you going to wear all white or do you plan on incorporating some camo into it? Thanks! Congrats on the engagement.

Did you make the fishbowl arrangements for your wedding yet? I am having a camo wedding too, my date is August 11,2007, and I think that would be a cute arrangement for the tables. If you have a pics of them, please email them to me. If you have other ideas or pics please let me know. I am lost when it comes to decorating. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you, ~Dawn~

Wow, I work for CMT (Country Music Television) and we`re doing a fun documentary on big, unique, country weddings and we NEED to film one of these "camo weddings". It`s so perfect! The weddings in May would work best, or anything else this spring. Pleeease send an email with just contact info or a phone number where we can reach you to:

Bigwedding@cmt.com

Thanks!!

Sorry for posting so many times, but on second thought, it might be better to just call me if you`d rather do that... This is so good it can`t wait:

818 292 2630 (my name is Dave) or the email (once again...): bigwedding@cmt.com

Hopefully not too many telemarketers will see that phone number. Other ideas that have been thrown around are NASCAR, hunting, ATV`s/tractors, farms, mullets (seriously!), etc. If anybody you guys know falls into that category, we`d love to talk to them. Thanks again, hope to see you guys at the wedding!

Jessica,

Do you have a wedding gown? Have you considered one with camo as an accent color? I work with a designer who does custom gowns and we`re looking for someone to make a camo gown for as a test to see how it would be received. We would only charge our costs to make your gown, but it could be your style etc. I have found only one site on line that makes camo formal wear. If you want to talk more about this idea, please email me at jgschnepp@cableone.net.

Kena,

Here are several links I found when I was researching making a wedding gown with camo satin as an accent color. What do you think of that idea? I see where there`s one site on line with a gown that is totally camo fabric, but I imagined that would be a bit much for most brides! But a traditionally styled gown with camo as an accent color I thought might sell for a military or hunting theme wedding. Links are:

I am also looking for brides who might want to work me to get a gown created with camo accents and have it only cost a wholesale price, so that we can get some good pictures of gowns to show other brides.

If interested, let me know!

My ideal for my april 26. 2008 wedding was to take gerber daisy and tie them to a arrow with rafia. Do not know what to do with the tips though, i do not want anyone getting drunk and trying to dance with them, or kids playing with them. Any other ideas can you please let me know at jayandashley@verizon.net

I was also thinking about using arrows and tying gerber daisies around it with rafia. I am just not sure what to do with the tips of the arrows through?? I am also open to any advise at jayandashley@verizon.net. I also found little stainless steel laterns at target for a $1. I think that i am just going to incorporate everything. I have also seen alot of tacky things. I am thinking that "less is more"and "Simple and elegant." Good luck everyone and keep posting, cause we are all helping each other.

Our son is getting married august 25th,2007. Camo theme. We are using beige table cloths with mossy oak runners center pieces of green and brown candles small tree limbs twigg`s on candle holders, place some deer antlers down the middle and some shot gun shells for confetti. We are making her gown of white trimed in mossy oak, vail in mossy oak along with a sash-train on mossy oak camo. Her bridesmaid are sage green dresses trimed in mossy oak.. The guy`s all have black tux camo ties and camo cumberbuns. Along with camo buttoniers and garters. We have made and design most of our things. We have brought the outdoors into the food also. Since they are marring outside we are using mossy oak neting flowing down from the trees and making a canopy of sort`s. Flowers are cattails, sunflowers, carnations (you can dye them any color) each row of chairs will have a flower arrrangsment with bright orange ribbons with shotgun shells attached. I don`t know maybe this will give you some ideas.
