If you are planning a wedding in the Raleigh, North Carolina area, Reverend Kayelily Middleton is a wedding minister who officiates weddings in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding counties.
At the heart of your wedding day is your ceremony. Your wedding celebration begins with the wedding ceremony which sets the tone for your special day. This tradition of making your vows in front of your loved ones dates back thousands of years. The State of North Carolina requires only that the officiant make a pronouncement of marriage. The remainder of the ceremony is up to the couple and the officiant. Kayelily believes that your ceremony should be about the two of you and works with you to create a warm and personal ceremony that welcomes your guests and reflects your beliefs about love and marriage. Kayelily respects wherever you are on your life path whether you believe in God or prefer to have a ceremony with no reference to God. You may choose to have a traditional religious ceremony, a contemporary spiritual ceremony. or a civil secular ceremony. If you and your partner are of different faiths, Kayelily will help you blend the customs of your faiths together for your ceremony. She has officiated many interfaith ceremonies incorporating customs from many faiths such as Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Native American, Celtic, Humanism, Bahai, etc. Kayelily works closely with you to create your custom ceremony by sending you her special collection of diverse ceremony material from which you may choose the words and parts that touch your hearts. She will then weave your selections into a meaningful flowing ceremony. If you prefer, you may create your ceremony from scratch, modify one of her many beautiful ceremonies to your liking, or she will be happy to create a ceremony for you with all the elements you tell her you want. You may incorporate customs from your own faiths such as the wine ceremony and glass-breaking. You may include other traditions such as a unity candle, the rose ceremony, handfasting, blessing of the hands, sand ceremony, parents' blessings, children's blessings, special readings and more. The finished collaboration is a an unforgettable work of art that is uniquely yours to treasure for the rest of your lives. Here is what one couple recently had to say: "Dear Kayelily, Andrew and I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful job you did with our ceremony. We received so many compliments, not only on how beautiful the ceremony was, but also on how well you conducted it. People, ourselves included, were very impressed with the gentle manner in which you spoke and the whole flow of the ceremony. We couldn't have been happier with the outcome. Andrew and I really enjoyed making the ceremony uniquely ours. You had such wonderful material for us to sift through and the hardest part was cutting stuff out. There were so many beautifully worded sentiments that we could have used but we eventually narrowed it down to that which we both felt embodied our mutual thoughts and feelings best. Andrew and I are not religious, yet still enjoy tradition and wanted to bring in a spiritual aspect for our wedding. This left us questioning where to begin but once we met with you and saw your beautiful material, we knew we'd made the right decision and that we would be able to integrate all that we felt for each other without having to incorporate that which did not fit with our beliefs. We thank you for a beautiful ceremony that we will remember and cherish forever. Thank you for working so closely with us and for your thoughtful additions to the ceremony. Your quick response time was also greatly appreciated as it meant that even if we did not get things off to you quickly, that once we did we would receive immediate feedback. Thanks for a wonderful, priceless experience and we wish you only the best.
