Art Deco and His Society Orchestra, purveyors of the fine spirit of Cole Porter for over two decades, continues to weave its musical magic throughout California and the United States. Their benchmark renditions of Cole Porter and other American musical icons such as Gershwin, Irving Berlin, and Jerome Kern have thrilled both dancers and audiences around the country.

Crooner and creator, Vincent Houser (aka Art Deco) hails from Indiana, the birth place of Cole Porter. Accepted as a student of Jascha Heiftz, he journeyed to Southern California where he later formed Art Deco and His Society Orchestra. Though rooted in classical music, Houser began to realize and eventually fulfill his musical passion with his orchestra Art Deco.

Art Deco and His Society orchestra has evolved into an exceptional, cohesive musical organization. While they will always embrace the music of the "Jazz Age" their vast repertoire of tunes includes hard driving, high energy swing, as well as classic and current Latin and rock.

Art Deco has performed for Presidents Reagan, Clinton, Bush and Queen Elizabeth II, as well as numerous dignitaries from around the world. Whether performing high atop the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco, for a charity ball in Naples, Florida, or at a corporate event at the Keeneland race track in Kentucky, the music of Art Deco has no borders. The orchestra has played for celebrity weddings, Oscar and Emmy parties, and debutante balls. They have also appeared on stage in concert at the Hollywood Bowl, The Ford Amphitheater, and The Pasadena Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts. Patrons of the arts have danced to their music at galas for the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Opera, the New York City Ballet, and The Pasadena Symphony. Art Deco has performed for various events at the Huntington Library in San Marino, the J. Paul Getty Museum, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The orchestra has become an important member of the Los Angeles community whether performing at the Beastly Ball at the Los Angeles Zoo or on stage at the Orpheum Theatre for the Los Angeles Conservancy.

No stranger to Orange County, Art Deco has performed on stage at the Orange County Performing Arts Center for their annual "Candlelight Dinners." They have also appeared at "The Art of Dining" for the Orange County Museum of Art and at galas for the Pacific Symphony, Chorale, Philharmonic Society, Chapman University, and the Bowers Museum.

Art Deco and His Society Orchestra has achieved national recognition with their most recent album "Snake Hips." Hot swing tunes such as "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "Sing Sing Sing," along with "Puttin' On The Ritz" and the omnipresent Cole Porter have all contributed to making this compact disc a "must have." Three original songs - "Cuban Cigar," "Martini," and "Snake Hips" - composed by Mr. Deco himself, provide the rich dessert for the musical feast. A second album featuring the Django/Grappelli inspired quartet "The Bohemians" is now available.
