Weddings for 2009 continue to move toward "chic and sophisticated." This year we are seeing more uses of white and gun metal with limited use of accent colors. The bright colors which have driven Utah's wedding scene for the past few years seem to be fading. Brides are looking to make their wedding a "signature" event, and this can be easily accomplished by using their monogram throughout the reception... from ice sculptures to the wedding cake. This growing contemporary design trend continues to flourish with the use of square plates, Chinese take-outs, Oriental box desserts, and artistic demi-plates.
