The steps are easy to learn and they are taught at a begining, intermediate and advance level depending on the overall dance experience of the Quinceañera and her court. The choreography is taught by a professional dancer, choreographer, actor and company member of Contra-Tiempo , a salsa dance company based in Los Angeles, CA.

Each style of dance is tailored to the specific needs of each Quinceañera and her court. The only styles offered for the surprise dance are salsa and merengue. The music for every dance should be chosen by the Quinceañera to reflect her own vision and theme.
