Orlando Special Effects, Inc. is a full service special effects company serving a wide range of applications from small private functions to major theme park installations. Our special effects include indoor and outdoor fireworks displays, mechanical effects, stage props, decorative fire effects, stunt vehicle effects, confetti cannons, air mortars, fire ball systems, breakaways, firing equipment and fireworks supplies. We provide environmental effects including wind, rain, snow and fog. Our fog systems include the use of chemical, water or cryogenics.

We custom design and build a variety of indoor/outdoor special effects which are being used in theme parks, attractions, stunt shows, water parks, corporate conventions, new product reveals, waterski shows and special events around the world. Additionally, we distribute custom-built, prepackaged indoor and outdoor firework devices and firing equipment for our clients. It is important to us that our customers are completely satisfied and we are prepared to go the extra mile to see that they are.

Principles Andrew Nicholls has been working for over ten years and structured Orlando Special Effects in 1991. His background represent over 35 years in the entertainment industry.

Nicholls holds a B.A. in Technical Theater. His interest in this field began at the age of sixteen, and since that time, he has worked in many areas of the entertainment industry including such films as 'Days of Thunder', 'Ace Ventura' and 'Lethal Weapon 3'. At nineteen he was introduced to fireworks and has shot fourth of July displays around the country. After moving to Florida, Nicholls worked at Disney World for two years doing stage pyro. Sixteen years later, with over 75 class 'B' displays and hundreds of indoor and film pyro stunts and effects, his knowledge of pyrotechnics and their use is extensive.
