Clowns & Entertainers

Professionally trained by the AT&T clowns of Philadelphia, Sassafras has been clowning for the past 12 years in the tri-state New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area. Formerly both a preschool and science teacher, her love of children and clowning have no limits. Touching the lives of children of all ages, she has been working with many organizations such as The Valerie Fund in aiding sick children with cancer and blood disorders.

Sassafras has also been a member of a community based improvisational troupe performing before churches, synagogues, schools, etc. She has incorporated these skills into her zany clown sketches.
She is both a member of clown clubs in New York City and New Jersey, and is a member of the an International Clown Association.

Many skills and talents abound in her 1 hour show. They include colorful face painting, spectacular balloon sculpting, fortune telling, bubble shows, games, adventurous treasure hunt and an amazing magic show. Creativity and laughter are plentiful in her new "Cartoon Talk" segment-a Sassafras Exclusive!

Sassafras fascinates all children with her small animal zoo: A large box turtle named Yertle, baby red eared sliders, hermit crabs, salamanders and miniature frogs! And to the wide eyed squeals and laughter children view other animals in display boxes: Tarantula spiders, snakes skins, giant lobster claws, deer antlers and other amazing creatures!

For the very young, Sassafras performs a sing-a-long through puppetry with animal puppets. During this segment, children receive puppets to sing along some of their favorite and popular songs to recorded music.
