Chris Galvin is one of the most reputable caricature artists in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, known for his friendly and professional service and his unique style of humourous and honest style of caricaturing.

He has drawn many thousands of faces over the past 17 years, starting in the theme park business in Atlanta, GA. in 1989, he worked at Universal Studios Florida, and Six Flags over Texas. In Texas, Chris was manager/lead artist from 1991-January 2002. Chris currently owns and operates a retail caricature business at Grapevine Mills Mall, in Grapevine, TX. He has been at the mall since November 1, 2001. Over the years, he has also drawn at many festivals, state fairs, schools, college campuses, conventions, trade shows, stadiums and arena's, and residences. His caricatures are a regular feature in "SouthWest Blues Magazine", a monthly periodical that covers the Texas and area blues music scene. His corporate clients include: Bank of America, Quorum International, T.J. Maxx, Guinness Bass Import Co., Absolut Vodka, Budget Suites of America, American Century, Garrett Metal Detectors, The Dallas Mavericks, The Arlington Convention Bureau, Saks Fifth Avenue, Christian Dior Cosmetics, Irving Parent Magazine, Chrysler Motor Co., The Dallas Stars. SouthWest Airlines, Texas Roadhouse, United Way, Motorola, Frito-Lay, among others. Chris has been a member of The National Caricaturists Network since 1998, and has consistently placed in the top 15 in the "Best Likeness Competition" at the NCN annual conventions, since the 2002 convention.

What you need to know if you hire mee First off, if you hire a caricature artist directly, there are no hassles or surprises. You deal with Chris Galvin personally. Just contact me with your party information, and I will draw up a simple contract. That's it!

When I show up at your event, I always arrive well before the actual starting time to set up and check in with the event coordinator. I come dressed in attire appropriate for the event-whether it is formal, business casual, Hawaiian,western, or outdoor neat casual. I come to the party with everything I need to perform for the party: paper, markers, portable light, and chairs if neccessary. I put each caricature into a flat clear plastic bag, to easily show, protect, and carry your drawing home.

If you have a lot of guests at your party and/or a limited amount of time, I recommend hiring more than one caricaturist. Multiple artists can draw more subjects at once. And it keeps the lines that usually form around the artists moving quickly. I can call on several of my colleagues throughout the Dall as/Ft. Worth metroplex, all of whom have several years of experience doing live caricatures.

I also do individually-commissioned caricatures and can draw from your photo's. If you are in the immediate DFW area, you can stop by at Grapevine Mills Mall, in Grapevine, TX to have your caricature(s) completed, either, while you wait or to be picked up a later date.
