Gabriel Donohue Irish Ensemble The Ensemble includes up to six pieces and may also include spotlight performances of Irish dancing if the client so wishes. |Here's a little bit about Gabriel Donohue If there's a stage chances are Gabriel Donohue has played on it from the dance halls of Dublin to the East wing of the White house, the hallowed commons at Yale New Haven or the Irish Pubs of Manhattan including Rosie O'Grady's on 7th Avenue, Gabriel has played them all, even London's Royal Albert Hall where he played with the Chieftains, Zucherro and his dear friend Welsh songstress, Mary Hopkin. He has performed at Carnegie Hall 5 times. His ability to cover a broad range of material from serious celtic instrumental music to rock and broadway highlights have kept him busy fulfilling the needs of corporate clients such as Atlantic Philanthropies and Yale and Princeton Universities. Masstock International flew him to Zambia to entertain guests at their annual ball. Fyffes Corporation flew him to Chile to perform for their guests. Likewise he performed for the YPO young presidents organization on a ship to Antartica with the Chieftains for the millennium celebrations, other performers included Art Garfunkel, Dan Akroyd and Diana Krall. Ann Stock social director for the White House Washington DC wrote this letter of appreciation 'I want to personally thank you for your fabulous performance during the IRISH CELEBRATION at the Whitehouse March 17th. I continue to hear numerous compliments about your band and the President and Mrs Clinton were extreme;y pleased.. My sincere thanks for your participation. You made a wonderful evening even more special' The Whitehouse program for the evening called him a riveting singer. Gabriel is also available as a solo artist for school programs either in the class room or in an assembly hall. A DVD is available of his song writing class at PS 158 Manhattan through a grant from the United Federation of Teachers Available for engagements in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina.
