Called “Totally Rad” by the New York Times, THE AWESOME 80S PROM, now in its fourth smash year, is a brand new interactive show in the style of Tony ‘n Tina’s Wedding and The Donkey Show set at Wanaget High’s Senior Prom . . . in 1989!
All your favorite characters from your favorite ‘80s movies are at THE PROM, from The Captain of the Football Team to the Asian Exchange Student, from the Geek to the hottie Head Cheerleader, and they’re all competing for Prom King and Queen. And just like on “American Idol,” you decide who wins, while moonwalking to retro hits like “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go!” Dig out your parachute pants and join the breakdance circle or just stand back and watch the 80’s drama unfold. Who knows, you may even get to dance with The Captain of the Football Team. And this time, you don’t have a curfew. THE AWESOME 80S PROM performs Saturday evenings at Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street New York, NY), www.websterhall.com. PROM at 8 PM; doors, dancing and Duran Duran from 7:30 PM. After THE PROM, party all night at Webster Hall for free with each paid admission. We would love to do a PRIVATE PROM for you!
