LaurieL Photography is a photography and graphic design studio serving the Greater Portland, Oregon Metropolitan Area, and Southern California (Orange County).

With a studio nestled in Vancouver, WA, Photographer and Graphic Designer, Laurie Ludes photographs expectant mothers, newborns, children and families. She has a unique ability to capture “life as it is lived” in beautiful black and white fine art photographs. Her style is casual and candid, and captures the tender moments of everyday life.

While residing in Southern California where LaurieL began her business, she was the most requested maternity photographer in the area. “Creating this unique niche gave me something I could really focus on and master. I love the glow that comes from a woman who is happily expecting a child. I want to capture her beauty...the curves of her body, created by the new life it carries. I want to capture that time...I want her to remember how beautiful she was. It's like the weeks before Christmas for a young child...the anticipation, the excitement...the love for what is about to happen. That's what I strive to capture...that's what I love...that's what I do."

LaurieL has also created a line of custom birth announcements that carry over her photographic style of clean line, black & white artistry. These cards are known and recognized throughout some of the most affluent areas, and are only available by custom order. “You’ll know it’s a LaurieL custom card when you see the signature pink rose.” Unique custom Holiday cards are also available.

LaurieL shoots using all digital equipment. This allows her a considerable advantage over film. If required, and for an additional fee, your photos can even be ready for review the same day your session takes place. In addition, your images can be captured in color, black and white, or rich sepia tones without any more than the click of a button. Images are digitally enhanced at no additional charge which allows for “flawless” final images. These enhancements are made on each image based on the professional opinion of LaurieL Photography. Special effects can be added to create beautiful, unique art for your home. Each fine art image is meticulously worked on to create a stunning heirloom.

For maternity, and upon request, unwanted stretch marks or veins are removed. Hips, thighs and arms are contoured, so that any unflattering weight gain that may have occurred during pregnancy is minimized. The alterations are done in such a way, that you can not tell it's been done, unless the changes are pointed out to you, yet they make a big difference in the end product. The final images are stunning, and have awarded LaurieL top recognition amongst her peers and the photographic world.
